INSULATIONS - THERMAL FACADE
Generally, insulation is any process or construction that protects the building from the surrounding conditions, such as high or low temperatures, humidity, sound, etc.
Pavlou Construction has certified technicians for the correct installation of any type of insulation.
This insulation can be:
Sound insulation
It is essentially about protecting part or all of a building from the various sounds. The sounds are divided into percussive and airborne. Typical are sounds from the impact of two bodies, such as walking, the sound of a machine on the floor, crawling, falling an object on the floor, closing a door, etc. On the contrary, airborne sounds are those that are transmitted. through the air, such as voices, music, or ambient sounds. To isolate our home from the hoarse sounds, the most common solution is to create a swimming floor, that is, to place a flexible soundproof sheet between the slab and the floor. For airborne sounds there is a huge variety of absorbent materials for lining interior walls
Waterproofing (terraces, basements, walls…
Humidity is another common problem faced by many homes. Moisture appears on the walls with swelling, peeling of the plasters and mold. It can cause damage to building materials, cracks in the walls (in case of frost) waste and health problems due to the inhalation of bacteria and fungal seeds.
Humidity is due to the long-term penetration of water externally or from the penetration of water vapor inside, but also from the damage that has been suffered around the foundations to the sealing barrier of the foundations that in some cases may not exist at all.
There is a way to deal with moisture as long as the person who will handle the moisture is aware of the object!
The consolidation of the wall is done by injections inside the wall. The insulating material passes through the holes that open and spread evenly inside the wall.
The waterproofing is done with external insulation, only in difficult places (under roofs or on the foundations) the waterproofing is done internally.
The internal insulation starts from the lowest points and extends up to 30 to 50 cm from the problem area.
Thermal insulation (internal or external)
Thermal insulation helps to minimize the energy (thermal) that our building exchanges with the environment and the correct way to install it is externally, except in cases where it is very difficult or impossible to do whenever it is installed internally (inverted insulation). The thermal insulation of the roof can be done with various thermal insulation materials, which are characterized by the coefficient of thermal conductivity (λ). The lower the λ, the better the thermal material. The thermal efficiency of insulating materials also depends on their thickness. The higher the thickness, the greater the thermal resistance of the insulating materials used. The main materials are:
Expanded polystyrene
Expanded polysterene
Stone wool
Glass wool
Reflective sheets
Thermal insulation tiles
